Vintage bike with no papers? Vintage bike with no papers?

Hi,

Sorry for not posting in Danish, but I cannot speak it very well yet! I am trying to buy a bike for a Cafe/bobber style project. I have found a bike from 1984 that I think will work very well but it is being sold with no papers?

I have seen this on a couple of different advertisements. I am thinking maybe it is not a big problem on vintage bikes? Is it easy to get new papers in denmark?

I do not want to buy the bike if i can never bring it back to ireland and change the registration plates?

Any help is much appreciated.

    #1   6. feb 2015 I would not recommend to buy an bike with no papers if possible it is very difficult to get the papers.

    #4   6. feb 2015 I will echo the other comments. Steer clear of any bikes without proper documentation/papers. Because getting hold of them might be hard or impossible. But sometimes you do strike out lucky and are able to find the proper paperwork with a bit of research.

    But often its more luck & perseverance than skill that determines the rate of success.

    #6   10. feb 2015 Skat most likely won't help. You would have to figure out how it got into the country, contact past owners and stuff like that depending on what the case might be
