    #1   24. apr 2009 Practice Two - Rosberg back on top in Bahrain

    Nico Rosberg once again put a Williams at the head of the timesheets in Friday afternoon's second practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix at Sakhir.

    The German lapped his FW31 in 1m 33.339s, faster than Lewis Hamilton went this morning. Behind him, Fernando Alonso vaulted up to second with a run of 1m 33.530s for Renault in the closing stages. That pushed Jarno Trulli down to third for Toyota on 1m 33.616s, and then came the Red Bulls of Chinese winner Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber (1m 33.661s and 1m 33.676s respectively).

    Right behind then came series leader Jenson Button on 1m 33.694s for Brawn. Adrian Sutil lapped his revised Force India in 1m 33.763s for seventh, with Toyota's Timo Glock (1m 33.764s), Brawn's Rubens Barrichello (1m 33.885s) and Williams' Kazuki Nakajima (1m 33.899s) rounding out the top 10.

    Lewis Hamilton was 11th for McLaren, running more new aero parts for a best lap of 1m 33.994s, then came Force India's Giancarlo Fisichella on 1m 34.025s, the Toro Rossos of Sebastiens Buemi and Bourdais (1m 34.127s and 1m 34.366s respectively) and Renault's Nelson Piquet on 1m 34.411s for 15th.

    The two Ferrari drivers focused on race running, as did the BMW Sauber pilots and McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen. Felipe Massa was 16th on 1m 34.564s, ahead of Robert Kubica on 1m 34.605s, Kimi Raikkonen on 1m 34.670s, Kovalainen on 1m 34.764s and Nick Heidfeld on 1m 34.790s.

    Again it was a relatively undramatic session. Piquet needed a new front wing after damaging the right-hand side of his original in a spin; and Sutil, Hamilton, Glock and trulli all had off-course moments.

    While the session brought some interesting lap times they were not necessarily representative of the performance we will see on Saturday in the final practice session, and the first two phases of qualifying, when everyone will be running similar fuel loads.

    #2   24. apr 2009 har aldrig gået vildt meget op i hvem der er hurtigst i træningen, det er alligevel så misvisende, da man aligevel ikke ved hvad de forskellige teams tester, vi får alligevel først det reelle styrkeforhold i morgen når der bliver kørt kval, det bliver spændende at se hvordan de forskellige teams får bilerne til at reagere i de ekstreme forhold i bahrain smiley

    Kubica var 3'er i første træning og ligger 18 i anden træning ....

    Hammy var 1'er i første og ligger 11'er i anden træning
